IMDC, ANTH enhancing R&D capabilities of Pakistanis

Islamabad Medical and Dental College and Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital arranged an advanced training session on ‘Writing Research Grant’ for their doctors, faculty and students on Wednesday in Islamabad.

Renowned trainer Shaukat Ali Jawaid, Chief Editor at Pulse International and Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences, and Secretary at Eastern Mediterranean Association of Medical Editors, delivered a detailed lecture and discussed real-time case studies.

The training was focused on how to write a clear, concise and appealing grant proposal that meets the requirements of funding agencies. The trainers told certain methods to Write faster and more effectively and share real life case scenarios to help the participants comprehend the art of writing compelling grant proposals with ease.

A large number of IMDC and ANTH faculty members and doctors participated in the session and found it to be quite useful. They thanked the management for conducted such a beneficial session.

IMDC Managing Director Yasir Khan Niazi and Dean Syed Shoaib Hussain Shah expressed that promotion of research and development culture in Pakistan is one of the main objectives of the institution and with this philosophy IMDC and ANTH are developing the research leaders of future to contribute in the country’s progress on the global level.
