Pm Imran Khan directed to provide internet connectivity in Gilgit Baltistan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting to review progress of integrated development plan for Gilgit Baltistan. The Prime Minister said,” We are focused on accelerating the pace of work on various development projects in Gilgit Baltistan by taking effective measures to ensure delegation of administrative and financial powers.”

The Prime Minister directed the authorities concerned to clear all legal and procedural hiccups in this regard to facilitate the people of Gilgit Baltistan who have to travel long distances to reach Islamabad for getting their issues resolved.

He also directed to provide internet connectivity to the area at the earliest in order to provide better communication facilities to the local population.

Earlier, the Prime Minister was briefed that the implementation has started on historic five years development package for GB, announced by his government early this year. Under the package,  Rs. 370 Billion would be released to GB for various development projects till FY 2025-26.

The meeting was attended by federal ministers Muhammad Hammad Azhar, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, Syed Amin-ul-Haque, Dr. Muhammad Farogh Naseem, SAPM Dr. Shahbaz Gill and Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Khalid Khursheed along with senior officers concerned.

Meanwhile Imran Khan has chaired a high-level meeting on celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) with full religious zeal and fervor. Speaking on the occasion on Wednesday, PM Imran Khan said that Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated in a befitting manner and the biggest ceremony of Pakistan’s history to celebrate this day will be held in Islamabad. The Prime Minister further said that ceremonies will also be organized throughout the country to mark this day. A detailed briefing was given to the Prime Minister regarding preperations to celebreate Eid Milad-un-Nabi. Federal Ministers Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Shafqat Mahmood, Special Assistants Shahbaz Gill and Usman Dar, along with others, attended the meeting. Governor Sindh Imran Ismail also participated in the meeting via video link.
