Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that no dialogues are being held with banned TTP as negotiations did not move forward with them, adding that still doors of negotiations have not been closed with TTP. He said that still TTP enjoys the support of India. He said some militants groups, with the help of Indian spy agency RAW, are trying to sabotage peace in Pakistan. He said Pakistan achieved many successes in the fight against terrorism due to matchless sacrifices rendered by the security forces. He said the Pak-Afghan Border Management is vital to stop infiltration of terrorists from across the border.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the dialogues with banned TTP have failed, adding that the conditions of TTP are not acceptable. He said that still Taliban are trying to convince them but so far no middle way has been found. He said that still TTP enjoys the support of India, adding that terrorism has been increased in new year and we have also killed their two terrorists in Islamabad.

Sheikh Rashid said that nine terrorists have been killed in Noshki and four to five have been killed Panjgur. He said that Pakistan is enjoying very good relations with Afghan Taliban, adding that China has some problems with regard to Sinkiang but Taliban have given guarantee that their land will not be used against China. He said that China is also satisfied regarding the matter of Taliban and Pakistan is also enjoying very good relations with Taliban. He said that Pakistan wants restoration of humanitarian assistance for Afghanistan.

Sheikh Rashid said that matter has not been settled with TTP as there are different groups and not any single group in TTP, adding that these people are present in Kunnar, Kandhar, Khost, Paktia and Noorastan and doing all this, adding that Pakistan army is dealing with them in better way. He said that terrorists will be eliminated.

Sheikh Rashid said that terrorists possess modern weapons which have been abandoned by NATO forces. He said that terrorists used explosive-laden vehicles to enter the gate. The Interior Minister added that the terrorist attack did not succeed; they failed miserably in their ulterior designs. He said that Noshki and Panjgur are under full control of forces.

“I think the Afghan Taliban tried to persuade the banned TTP, but they did not”, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said. Moreover, ISIL and other terrorist organizations are present in the Kunar, Paktia and Khost regions of Afghanistan, he added. He noted that terrorism had increased in the country and he had directed intelligence agencies to remain alert in that regard.

Referring to the opposition, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the opposition could not do anything, the government had completed three and a half years and left with over one year time.
