Says Jamaat-e-Islami would take all possible steps for the protection & security of religious institutions

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq said that elimination of State Bank of Pakistan’s sovereignty owing to government-opposition nexus at the direction of IMF would cause a new flood of inflation and unemployment in the country. He added that the government had failed badly in providing relief to the masses and that recent hike in petroleum prices would drive the already suffering masses to the quagmire of worst inflation. The Emir JI emphasized that religious seminaries were the guardians of Islamic values and ideology.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views that during his address to the annual gathering of Khatam-e-Bukhari Sharif at Jamia Ahyaul Uloom, Timergara. District Emir JI Aizazul Mulk Afkari, supervisor of the institution Maulana Hakeem Ullah and Maulana Inayat Ullah also addressed the ceremony. On this occasion, certificates and gifts were distributed among 23 Muftis, 60 students who completed the Dars-e-Nazami course and 23 Huffaz-e-Karaam. Sirajul Haq further said that 5 world powers had enslaved more than 7 billion people of the world. “In Pakistan, the sovereignty of the State Bank of Pakistan, established by Quaid-e-Azam, at the behest of IMF has been abolished and the doors for economic catastrophe have been opened” the Emir JI added.

Sirajul Haq further said that the devaluation of Pakistani currency had turned it into a mere piece of paper and the Prime Minister came ti know about the economic deterioration in the country through television. He clarified that Jamaat-e-Islami would take all possible steps for the protection and security of religious institutions. Talking to media later, Sirajul Haq noted that the incumbent government had failed on all fronts.
