NA Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf invites PTI members for verification of resignations
Letter dispatched for in person verification of resignations tendered by PTI members

National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has invited all Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Members of National Assembly who tendered resignation from their Assembly seats for verification regarding voluntary character and genuineness of resignation letters.
National Assembly Secretariat has sent letters on Monday to all PTI Members who tendered resignation on 11th April 2022. The Speaker has invited MNAs in pursuance of Paragraph (b) of Sub Rule (2) of rule 43 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007. The PTI members who tendered resignation have been invited individually for verification of their resignations.
The letters have been sent to 131 PTI members. The verification process will start on 6th June 2022 and will continue till 10th June 2022. As per system devised every MNA will get five minutes to confirm that their resignations were voluntary and genuine.
Additional Secretary (Legis.) Muhammad Mushtaq has written letters to the PTI members saying “I am directed to refer to the letter Dated 11-4-2022 regarding your resignation from the seat of the National Assembly and to state that in pursuance of paragraph (b) of sub-rule (2) of rule 43 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007, Honourable Speaker has desired to invite you in his Chamber for inquiry regarding voluntary character and genuineness of aforesaid resignation letter before its acceptance”.
