PPP stalwart Rehman Malik passes away at 70

Senior politician and former interior minister Rehman Malik passed away at the age of 70 on Wednesday morning.

The PPP’s senator had been hospitalised and had developed COVID-19-related complications, his spokesperson, Riaz Ahmad Turi, confirmed.

According to the report, after testing positive for the coronavirus, he was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Islamabad on February 1.

PPP Senator Sehar Kamran took to Twitter and confirmed that his condition was quite serious as his lungs had been severely affected. Subsequently, he was put on a ventilator.
