Punjab registers vehicles worth over Rs80 billion in 2021

The Motor Branch earned more than 8 billion rupees during the year as more than 80 billion worth of vehicles and other vehicles were registered in Punjab during the year 2021.
According to a report over 80 billion rupees were spent on the purchase of more than 14.46 million motorcycles, cars and other vehicles across Punjab, including 700,000 only in Lahore.
In the year, 105,893 cars, more than 53,000 other vehicles and 1.286 million motorcycles were registered.
In Lahore only, more than 65,000 cars, over 600,000 motorcycles and more than 25,000 other vehicles were registered in the period under review.
The registration branch of the Excise Department also earned more than Rs8.33 billion. From Lahore alone, the department collected more than Rs5 billion in revenue.
