Lt. Gen. Nadeem Ahmed Anjum appointed new DG ISI; to resume charge on 20th November

Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum has been appointed new Director General of the Inter Services Intelligence (DG ISI) here on Tuesday. According to the notification approved by Prime Minister Office Islamabad has issued by Secretary Defense with the signatures of Secretary to the Prime Minister Muhammad Azam Khan. Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum will resume charge of his office on 20th November.

Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid will hold charge as the DG ISI till November 19 while Lt. Gen. Nadeem Ahmed Anjum will take charge of the post by November 19.

Appointment-General Officers

“The Prime Minister has seen and approved the appointment of PA-27007 Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, HI (M) as Director General Inter-Services Intelligence, with effect from 20th November, 2021, from the panel of officers at para 6 of the summary,” reads the notification from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The notification stated that the incumbent Director General ISI shall continue to hold charge as the Director General Inter Services Intelligence till 19th November 2021.
