Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that when PML-N will consider appropriate that former prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif should return back to Pakistan he will return back. She said that this is Nawaz Sharif’s country but it will not be wise decision to appear before the revenge of the current government. She said that the whole dependence of the current government is on the thing that the people from whom it is facing threat or those who could expose the fake mandate or intensions, removing them from the way is the last option left with the government; however the circumstances are not like 2017-18 and situation has changed and people will see soon things changing. She said Nawaz Sharif will return back certainly and will lead his party and this will happen soon. She said that reconciliation is one thing, the government shouldn’t even be talked with as it fears from those who speak truth.
Talking to the media outside Islamabad High Court, Maryam Nawaz said that the government has set an example of anti-public policies. We are trying to put a full stop at government’s corruption plan in the next general election, she added.
She further said the performance of the government in three years should be termed as a disaster. Never in the history of Pakistan has ever been elected a more incompetent government, she added.
Maryam Nawaz said she had only one son whose wedding ceremony she couldn’t attend. Neither did I ask for permission to attend my son’s wedding nor I could, she said.
“Has anyone heard a news of cut into the prices of sugar or flour in past three years?” she questioned. The government has been imposed on us, she said adding that it wasn’t accountability but revenge against the opposition.
She further said that it wasn’t wise to appear before government’s revenge. Regulatory Authority Bill was nothing but a continuation of snubbing the independence of media, she added.
PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb, Spokesperson of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, Muhammad Zubair, PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Secretary General and former deputy speaker national assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi, PML-N Rawalpindi Division President Malik Abrar Ahmed Khan, former federal minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Anjum Aqeel Khan, MNA Maiza Hamid Gujjar, MNA Tahira Auranzeb, Senator Nuzhat Sadiq, Senator Afnanullah khan, MPAs Hina Parvez Butt, Sania Ashiq jabeen, Azma Zahid Bukhari, Ataullah Tarar Advocate and other PML-N leaders were also present on the occasion.
Earlier on Wednesday Maryam Nawaz appeared before Islamabad High Court (IHC) for appeals against the sentences in Al-Azizia and Avenfield references.
The court expressed anger at Maryam Nawaz for speaking loudly in the courtroom during the hearing. While giving remarks, Justice Aamer Farooq said the accused who does not care about the sanctity of the court is not entitled to bail. The court adjourned the further hearing in the case till September 8.
